What is Connota?
Connota is an evidence-based analysis tool for creative work. You teach it your brand once, upload assets or whole campaign sets, and it examines them against your briefing, your brand, the channel and the cultures they'll run in. Every finding comes with quoted evidence and a concrete action.
Who is it for?
Brand and marketing managers who approve creative work, agencies and studios who want to pressure-test work before presenting it, design teams guarding brand consistency at volume, and founders without a brand strategist on staff.
Is this market research?
No — and we're precise about that. Connota examines the work, not the audience: consistency, fidelity, presence, readiness. Even our Virtual Focus Groups are a rehearsal room, not research: they show you how your message can be read, they never count votes or claim statistical validity.
Does it replace my agency?
No. Agencies are among our favourite users: they pressure-test work before presenting it and hand clients evidence instead of assertions. Connota makes the conversation between brand and agency sharper, not adversarial.
What do I need to get started?
A brand and something to analyse. You fill the Brand Brain with your identity, distinctive assets and documents (a calibration meter shows how complete it is), then upload your first asset with a briefing. The more complete the reference, the sharper the findings.
How long does an analysis take?
A comprehensive multi-pass analysis takes around fifteen minutes. You can keep working while it runs; the report is there when it finishes.
What languages does it work in?
English and Dutch. Full analysis output is available in either language.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU: your data is hosted in Frankfurt. European data residency isn't an afterthought; it's how the platform is built.
Who owns what I upload?
You do. Your assets, briefings and brand knowledge remain yours; we store and process them only to run the analyses you ask for.
What does it cost?
Connota is in early access, with credit-based tiers and a transparent usage meter. Join the waitlist and we'll get in touch personally.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?
A general chatbot gives you a generic take from a blank slate. Connota measures against your registered brand: the exact tagline, colour codes and value propositions you recorded. And it does so with a real colour-measurement instrument, deterministic scoring and a documented methodology. Same asset in, a very different kind of answer out.
What does Connota deliberately not claim?
It never claims to measure what happens in people's heads: recognition, recall, fame or preference. It examines the preconditions of effectiveness in the work itself and shows you the evidence. That honesty is the product.
Do I have to set everything up myself?
No. Every input surface has an AI assistant: the Briefing Audit critiques your draft briefing with paste-ready rewrites, the Brand Brain distils pasted notes, PDFs and URLs into brand voice and knowledge, competitor colours and taglines can be extracted from a URL, and focus-group personas are cast from your briefing. All assistants are free. Only analyses draw credits.
What can't it do (yet)?
Static visuals only for now: images and multi-frame sequences like Stories and carousels, not video or motion. Output comes in English and Dutch. A fresh run can phrase its findings differently: the scoring rules are fixed, but the AI's observations aren't frozen. And it examines the work, never real audiences. Connota is a research preview: this list shrinks.
